A night on the books

Might have to pull a late one.

Perhaps my favourite piece of philosophy, probably my favourite work of literature and, in the background, the book I’m most pleased about owning: the Vulgate Cycle. The translation and release of this book, overseen by Norris J. Lacy, shamed the French literary world and should be seen as the publishing event of the last few decades, certainly of the 90s. Why wasn’t Lacy knighted!?

Laurence Thompson is an English writer. He is almost certainly drunk.
